When you’re sick, the first question isn’t “what do I have?” — it’s “where do I go?” Getting that answer right saves hours of waiting and hundreds of dollars; getting it wrong can be dangerous. Here’s the honest version, including when an online visit is the wrong choice.

Call 911 or go to the ER — now

Minutes matter with these. Never wait on an online visit, ours or anyone’s:

  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Trouble breathing
  • Stroke signs — face drooping, arm weakness, slurred speech
  • Severe bleeding or a serious injury
  • Fainting, new confusion, or the worst headache of your life

When urgent care is the right call

Urgent care exists for problems that need hands, tests, or imaging the same day but aren’t life-threatening:

  • A cut that might need stitches
  • A fall or twisted ankle that might be broken — you need an X-ray
  • A high fever that won’t come down with medicine
  • Dehydration that won’t turn around at home

Without insurance, a typical urgent care visit runs $150–$280 before any tests are added.

When an online visit handles it

A large share of everyday sick days don’t need an exam room at all — they need a licensed clinician to review your symptoms and history and get treatment moving. That’s what an online visit is for:

At Goza it works in three steps: answer a few questions online (about five minutes), a licensed Florida provider personally reviews your visit, and if medicine is appropriate it goes straight to your pharmacy — often within hours. The price is $79 flat, no insurance needed.

Our honest rule

If you’re not sure, choose in person. We’d rather lose a visit than have you wait on something serious. And if you start an online visit with us and it turns out you need hands-on care, we tell you exactly that — we don’t treat what shouldn’t be treated online.

The quick version

  • Scary symptoms → 911/ER. Don’t negotiate with chest pain.
  • Need hands, tests, or X-rays today → urgent care.
  • Couch-level sick → online visit. Faster, cheaper, and honest about its limits.
